LOCATION & FACILITIES
Treasure Mountain is a beautiful camp located approximately 1¾ hours drive east from Rocklin, CA up I-80 near Sierraville, CA. The camp facilities include onsite cabin-like yurts and large canvas tents in a bunk bed style setup (without electricity that sleep about 15-20 campers), bathrooms with flushing toilets, showers with hot water, a commercial kitchen, dining area, a medical cabin, stage, amphitheater, craft/survival area, shooting range, hatchet throwing area, archery, ropes challenge course, and a pond for playing in with a zip line and water toys.

YOUTH EXPERIENCE
  • While at camp, all youth camp in the onsite cabin-like yurts or large canvas tents in a bunk bed style setup with 2 male adult leaders and boys their age.
  • 5th - 8th grade boys experience the Treasure Mountain camp and all the events at the actual camp. They are assigned a group based on their age that we refer to as a battalion.
  • 9th grade boys experience a backpacking hiking trip and overnight experience the day before camp.
  • 10th grade boys experience a rock climbing event at Donner Summit the morning of the first day of camp.
  • 11th and 12th grade boys experience a whitewater river rafting pre-camp event and an overnight Truckee Cabin stay the night before the first day of camp.

CAMP STAFF
Our camp is led by dozens of men and women volunteer leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who contribute to the young men's experiences by donating their time and talents. As a team, they have expertise in outdoor skills, adventure sports, games and activities, music, craft/survival, food and nutrition, medical care, teaching, and gospel living.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP INVOLVEMENT
  • Lead Captains (LC) are our 11th and 12th grade boys. They have pre-camp responsibilities and act as camp youth leaders with responsibilities to conduct on stage, help teach fortify classes, survival activity, and help out throughout camp.
  • Battalion Captions (BC) are our 10th grade boys. They have pre-camp responsibilities and act as camp youth counselors to the younger boys and are assigned to support a younger youth battalion in activities pre-camp and throughout the course of camp.

CAMP ELIGIBILITY
Camp is for all young men eligible to participate in the Young Men program. Young men that are Deacon, Teacher, and Priest ages in 2026 are invited to attend. We encourage and hope graduating seniors will come to camp. Other YM who meet these age requirements and are willing to abide by Church standards (below) may also be included. Leaders will determine which young men will be old enough by the date of the camp and invite them to participate. Parents and leaders may counsel together on any exceptions to the age guideline with consideration of maturity and peer relationships. (General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 20.7.2).
Friends are invited to attend!  Click here or below to learn about our Standards for Youth.
